Mimi's lunch date with a friend five years ago literally changed the course of her life!
Throughout the lunch, her male companion's cell phone kept ringing -- all were calls from
different women. It wasn't long before this young man begins to discuss the women in his life
as if they were jewels that had forgotten they were to shine.

To say Mimi was alarmed by all the calls and this man's attitude, is putting it mildly. As she
continued to listen to him talk about the women in his life, she began to wonder if he echoed
the same sentiments and thoughts of other men. She wanted so desperately to tell every
single woman she knew what this man was about. A college student and bank teller at the
time, Mimi never thought of herself as a novelist, but that evening she started writing what is
now her debut, The Single Sister Experiment.  Knowing how impossible it would be for her to
physically gather all the single women of the world together to alert them to what is really
going in the minds of some men, she creates a supernatural setting and meeting place to do
just that in her novel. The Single Sister Experiment is not just Mimi's novel, it represents her
current ministry.  

Mimi Jefferson has a B.S. in Christian Ministry from the College of Biblical Studies and
resides in the Houston, TX area with her husband.
